The purpose of the program piloting is to assure that project members will follow the training program, as trainees. At the end of the piloting session, the program will be evaluated by all project members, in order to improve it for future trainees. The piloting will be done during January – June 2021, as following: the first module – January – February 2021, the second module – March – April 2021, the third module – April – May 2021 and the fourth module – May – June 2021.
On 11 December 2020, Liliana ROGOZEA and Daniela POPA, teaching staff from Transylvania University in Brasov, Romania, offered a training session in digital instruments, which support the implementation of the training activities of the study programme „Leadership Development and Management”.

On 9 December 2020, the Erasmus+ National Office carried out the monitoring visit to the MHELM project.
Between 17 and 26 November, team members of the MHELM project participated in a training session.
On 20 November 2020, the international conference «Competitiveness and Sustainable Development» was held, organised by the Faculty of Economic Engineering and Business of the TUM. At the opening plenary session of the conference, Mrs. Larisa Bugaian, PhD, univ.prof., presented the project „Moldova Higher Education Leadership and Management” (MHELM).
During the Scientific Conference with international participation dedicated to the 28th anniversary of the founding of FIUM, organized between 19-20 October 2020, Dr.Sc., univ.prof. Larisa BUGAIAN, coordinator of the MHELM project, presented the purpose and objectives of the project, as well as the project activities.
Nine months after its launch, the first newsletter reviews the activities carried out within the project: the launch meeting, the study visits, the activities within the partner universities, as well as the challenges imposed by the COVID pandemic.

On May 18-22, 2020, within the Erasmus+ project Moldova Higher Education Leadership and Management (MHELM) a virtual visit in the form of an online seminar was conducted on „University Strategy Building in a Regional Perspectives: Action Learning in University-Business-Society Cooperation”. This virtual training replaced the study visit to the Institute of Social Studies (ISOB) in Regensburg, Germany. But the pandemic forced a change in the format of the visit, which took place online.

Between February 17-21, 2020, a study visit took place at the Transilvania University of Brasov, Romania, within the MHELM project. The study visit was attended by representatives of six higher education institutions in Moldova, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research.
