36 TRAINEES RECEIVED CERTIFICATES WITHIN THE CONTINUOUS TRAINING PROGRAMME “LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT”
Representatives of the first teams of trainees from the Technical University of Moldova, reformed after the absorption of the State Agrarian University of Moldova, received the certificates of graduation of the continuous professional training programme “Leadership and Management”, carried out within the Erasmus+ Programme “Leadership and Management in Higher Education in Moldova” (Moldova Higher Education Leadership and Management – MHELM), ref. no. 609656-EPP-1-2019-1-MD-EPPKA2-CBHE-SP. The training is structured in four modules, the activities of which provide 1200 academic hours and the accumulation of 40 ECTS.
The training sessions have a theoretical-practical character, combining training activities and active teaching methods. The activities, group discussions and the development of group projects accelerated the communication process, through which the beneficiaries exchanged opinions and experiences, developed the necessary skills for an efficient management required for higher education.
The award ceremony took place on October 26. The event was opened by the project coordinator Larisa BUGAIAN, Dr. Sc., PhD., univ. prof.,. In her speech she noted the importance of the project in the development of higher education management, focused on governance, strategic planning, leadership development and management capabilities in HEIs in the Republic of Moldova.
At the same time, Mrs. Larisa BUGAIAN congratulated the trainees for the successful completion of the program “Leadership and Management”, for the acquisition of professional skills necessary for an effective management in the higher education system and also for their courage in demonstrating attitudinal and factual openness to change, innovation, in the context of the new university paradigm.
The MHELM project coordinator highlighted that these certificates are a conclusive proof that the reform of the higher education sector in the Republic of Moldova has already started to bear fruit.
In his welcome speech, the rector of TUM, Viorel BOSTAN, PhD, Prof., welcomed the audience, congratulated the trainees and spoke about the real value of these trainings, which denote the performance in research, the quality of training, managerial excellence, the development and use of leadership skills necessary for an effective University Management.
Mr. Viorel BOSTAN together with Mrs. BUGAIAN Larisa handed over the certificates of continuous professional training in Leadership and Management to the 36 trainees from the Technical University of Moldova and the former Agrarian State University of Moldova, wishing them new performances.
The trainees expressed their gratitude to the 24 trainers, who developed and implemented the “Leadership and Management” course.
The MHELM project was implemented in consortium, in seven HEIs in the Republic of Moldova.
The main objective of the project is to strengthen governance, strategic planning and management in Moldovan universities to support the reform of the sector by enhancing leadership and management capacity.
