PRESENTATION OF THE FINAL PROJECTS OF MANAGERS FROM UTM AND ULIM, BENEFICIARIES OF THE PROGRAMME “LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT”, MHELM PROJECT
On February 14, 2023, were presented the final work of the trainees from UTM and ULIM, third group , trained in the continuous training program “Leadership and Management Program”, carried out through the Erasmus+ Program “Leadership and Management in Higher Education in the Republic of Moldova/MHELM”, reference number: 609656-EPP-1-2019-1-MD-EPPKA2-CBHE-SP, funded by the European Union.
The evaluators were the trainers responsible for the modules included in the Leadership and Management programme, Mrs. Larisa BUGAIAN and Mrs. Daniela POJAR, Technical University of Moldova, Mrs. Ala COTELINIC, Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, Mrs. Angela NICULIȚĂ, Moldova State University.
At the opening, Professor Larisa BUGAIAN, MHELM project coordinator, Head of the Erasmus+ Centre at the Technical University of Moldova, noted the institutional and national significance of the MHELM project in strengthening governance, strategic planning and management in Moldovan universities to support the reform of the sector by enhancing managerial skills.
The UTM and ULIM teams presented 5 projects, addressing the most diverse and topical themes.
The team composed of Mrs. Irina TUTUNARU, assoc. prof., Dr., Livia NISTOR-LOPATENCO, assoc. prof., Dr., Olga HAREA, univ. lect., Dr., and Vasile PLĂMĂDEALĂ, univ. lect., presented the project “Distance higher education in UTM: from alternative to future”. This project aims at updating the traditional university education for the study programmes offered by the Technical University of Moldova in the first cycle – Bachelor’s degree and the second cycle – Master’s degree, by implementing the distance learning (DL) form as a sustainable and efficient tool for initial and continuous professional training.
The second project “Effectiveness of communication and educational counselling for the labour market insertion of Cycle II graduates” aims at the functional analysis of the mechanisms and tools for linking the educational offer (double mentoring: University – Business environment) in order to increase the employability of the graduates, creating premises for the training and professional development of 20 mentors from the partner companies who will cooperate for the students’ practice and the development of an information support for the graduates. The third project proposal formed by the team Ion FIODOROV, assoc. prof., Dr., Rodica CUJBĂ,assoc. prof., Dr., Rodica SIMINIUC, assoc. prof., Dr., consists in the development of an intelligent online platform for career counselling and guidance, which offers the opportunity to make well-informed decisions about future career paths. The platform will be based on the questionnaire of the users, and based on the answers, the system will identify one or more professions that best suit the candidates to study depending on their individual characteristics and aptitudes and will display the list of universities in the Republic of Moldova that offer studies in the specialties proposed by the platform.
The fourth team (Svetlana GANGAN, assoc. prof., Dr., Tatiana BUJOR, assoc. prof., Dr., Olesea COJOCARU, assoc. prof., Dr.) came up with a project proposal on the organization of state-funded scientific events with the theme: International Scientific Symposium “Perspectives of sustainable development of rural areas in the context of new economic challenges”, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of agricultural higher education. Among the expected results of this project are: new techniques for evaluating economic indicators in agriculture, new technologies for improving the information system in the management of agricultural and agri-food enterprises, new mechanisms for financing and crediting the agri-food sector, improvement of the management system of agricultural enterprises in particular, and of the agro-industrial complex as a whole.
The training was also attended by trainees from universities associated with the project. Thus, the ULIM team formed by V. CIUMACENCO, assoc. prof., Dr., I. STOIANOVA, assoc. prof., Dr., V. ȚÎCU, dean FRISPJ, L. COADĂ, assoc. prof., Dr.., focuses on the need to promote European Studies (inter and multidisciplinary) in the context of the European course of Moldova -Teaching European Studies in the digital age (TESDA). The theme of the project was shaped by the need to align university education to EU standards and objectives (Action Plan on Digital Education 2021-2027), as well as the need for new visions for higher education in Moldova in the digital era of educational transformation.
